Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate (ordination of bishop), presbyterate (ordination of priests), and diaconate (ordination of deacons). Catechism of the Catholic Church 1536
If you are interested in studying for the priesthood (or are interested in religious life) you are welcome to speak to one of the priests at St. Bede or to contact the Director of Vocations of the Diocese of Oakland. There is more information on the Vocations Page of the Diocesan web page.
